On the 3rd October 1980 Model Engineer Magazine (Volume 146 : Number 3642) celebrated the opening of the CDMES track at Fordwich by featuring the opening on the front cover along with a feature article. And all for the princely sum of 50p.

In the February 12th 2010 issue of Model Engineer Magazine (Volume 204 No 4371) we were very fortunate to be featured in an article by our resident scribe and Vice-Chairman Chris Davey. Apart from being a fantastic advert for our society the article features our best ever 'Trains and Traction' event which took place in August 2009.

In the March 12th 2010 issue of Model Engineer Magazine (Volume 204 No 4373) we were yet again featured in an article about ‘The Club Stands’ at the 2009 ‘Model Engineer Exhibition’ at Sandown Park.
