Sept 10th Public Running Sunday
Earlier, Ernie put out the "Trains Running" notice board, at the
"Marlow Meadows" entrance. This encouraged some new visitors to our
train rides. Their comments were mostly like: "We did not know you
were here, but we saw the notice board....."
We had a balance of good locos for our visitors.
Ernie bought along "Jersey Lily", Granville had his "Russell",
and Dave Pearson had his electric "08" shunter.

Aug 28th: Chestfield Parish Fete
The Bank Holiday Monday morning started a little cool,
so after setting up the club's Portable Track a few of us put on longer
sleeved shirts. We need not have worried, by midday a gentle Sun was out,
which bought out the crowds.
We "Topped and Tailed" the train with a loco and driver at each end,
as that is easier to control, specially as we had some full trainloads.
Unbeknown to us a local Ukelale Group were setup next to us.
So we had musical accompanyment to our trains, and we had a few sing-alongs.

Aug 27th: Club Meeting, Sturry Track
The late-summer rain clouds stopped sufficiently long for an enjoyable
and sunny club-meet at the track. With some of our regulars away
it was a quiet but relaxing afternoon, with two steam locos, and an
electric diesel-outline model running.
