The Society acknowledges its duty to disabled members and the public alike.
Please note the following details for access to our activities and facilities.
Due to the nature of our activities and the responsibility the Society has
to the site owner to ensure security of their property the Fordwich site
is not always easily accessible to disabled people. We recommend that
any disabled person intending to visit our facilities should contact our
secretary in the first instance who will put them in touch with a
member of our disabled access team.
📩 send email to:
secretary@cdmes.org.uk
We will then be able to ensure that a point of contact is available when visiting the site and that access
gates can be opened and other assistance provided as required.
The primary operators of our portable track are also members of our disabled access team. We therefore suggest that any person requiring assistance to ride on the portable track makes contact with the track marshal in the first instance who will be happy to provide all possible assistance.
The Barn has good access for the disabled to all its facilities including
car parking and toilets. However, prior contact will always ensure we
can provide any additional assistance required.
This guide has
been produced with reference to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
2005 which amends and/or extends existing provisions in the DDA 1995.
The committee welcomes feedback or suggestions from members, the public or
any interested or knowledgeable body which would further enhance our
ability to provide access to our hobby and facilities to all members of
the community.
