CDMES were invited to attend a number of events at the Kent & East Sussex Railway. At the first, "A Day out with Ivor The Engine", we set up at Northiam station and a number of members made their engines available and Ivor was on his best behaviour. We thank all at KESR for their support.
N.B. Ivor the Engine usually lives at the M.& L.R.T.C.L. ..or the Merioneth and Llantisilly Railway Traction Company Limited, which is at the "top left-hand corner of Wales".
T.V. producer Oliver Postgate in partnership with artist Peter Firmin, set up Smallfilms Company in a disused cow shed at Firmin's home in Blean, near Canterbury, Kent.
Ivor the Engine was Smallfilms' first production. The story lines were influenced by the works of South Wales poet Dylan Thomas.
