We may be one of the smaller model engineering societies but that never stopped us from having big ambitions. This year the society seems to have gone from strength to strength with among other things our best ever Trains & Traction and our successful stand at the Sandown Model Engineer Exhibition it was difficult to see that there was anything left. But just as we started the countdown to our agm in March the society year has ended with a real scoop.

Canterbury & District Model Engineering Society seem to have taken the hobby by storm during the last year and there’s no better place to find out more about the hobby. If you would like to find out more about our society and what we can offer you please contact our secretary on 01227 830081.

Model Engineer Magazine

In the February 12th 2010 issue of Model Engineer Magazine (Volume 204 No 4371) we were very fortunate to be featured in an article by our resident scribe and Vice-Chairman Chris Davey. Apart from being a fantastic advert for our society the article features our best ever Trains and Traction event which took place in August 2009.

Model Engineer Magazine is available from most local newsagents and is stocked by WHSmiths.  To take out a subscription or find out more about the magazine or the hobby in general the Model Engineer website at www.model-engineer.co.uk has a wealth of information and a range of inspiring downloads.
